Before being taken up into heaven, while still with His disciples, Jesus gave His disciples what we call today “The Great Commandment” and “The Great Commission”.  The “Great Commandment” which is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  And to love your neighbor as yourself.”  is found in the New Testament of the bible in the book of Mark chapter 12 verses 30 & 31.  The Great Commission is found in Matthew chapter 28 verses19 & 20 and says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

In these verses we see what Jesus desires for us, His church.  To love God, love one another, let other’s know about Christ and His love for them, and to help others grow in their knowledge and relationship with Jesus..  That is what we are here for, that is what we are made for.  We are living to fulfill Jesus’ “Greats”.  At Big Bear Christian Center, we do this both through our weekly celebration service, and through our Life Groups.  I believe God desires that we do more than just get through life, but actually enjoy life, prosper, as God desires us to prosper, to help our friends and neighbors find the same strength, peace, forgiveness and Life that we have found through our Savior Jesus Christ.
